The art retrospective was a welcome opportunity to reflect on the treasures in the Second Life account inventory. Digital data is fragile and can be quickly lost if not properly maintained. This was demonstrated by the crash of the asset server in the OS Grid a few months ago, and during the repair time, this retrospective was created together with some colleagues who had previously worked in the interstellART art group.
Asmita Duranjaya, Caro Fayray, Barret Darkworld, Claude Belgar, Jaime Poutine, Xirana Oximoxi, Sanjeewa Kumara and Sujeewa Kumari showed artworks from ten different years, following their own development as artists in virtuality. The sim will close in a week as OS Grid is back and there is a lot of work to be done. Nevertheless, this Second Life exhibition was an interesting opportunity to remember the past decades.
The sim landscape by Sominel Edelman was a suitable basis for this exhibition.
